Python Job: Research Engineer (m-f-x)

We, HENSOLDT Analytics GmbH, are one of the world’s leading innovators in the field of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), Artificial Intelligence and speech and language technology systems, we create cutting‐edge software for speech and multimedia analysis solutions supporting commercial (e.g., news monitoring, broadcast news transcription and indexing) as well as government applications (e.g., public opinion monitoring, surveillance and intelligence gathering). Our Media Mining System is an integrated platform for analysts and decision makers enabling the extraction of key information from multimedia sources in multiple languages in real time.

As a Research Engineer (m/f/x) you are part of our Research Team and responsible for research and development in general as well as for participation in National and European Research Programs. In this role, you will fullfill the following tasks:

Research and Development

• keeping up-to-date with state-of-the-art and applying cutting edge-research in different areas of NLP/AI
• putting research results into action by actively contributing to products
• developing new features, models and solutions from ideation to product-level code
• training customers on tools, supporting pre-sales activities via presentations and participation at commercial events
• publishing of research results

Participation in National and European Research Programs

• participation in proposal writing for European and national research programs
• participation in research projects; coordination and management of work packages, delivery of deliverables and reports, participation and presentation at project-meetings and reviews
• scientific communication and dissemination within research projects, coordination (WP-lead) of communication-efforts

You are a perfect match, if you have…

• a PhD or master’s degree or equivalent in NLP, ML, AI or similar
• 5+ years of experience in NLP or similar (including academic track)
• experience in collaborative research and innovation projects and proposal writing
• extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies in AI, ML and NLP
• fluency in English, proficiency in German
• programming skills in Python, C/C++, Source-control, IDE
• MLOps and further language skills/linguistics knowldege as a bonus
• a strong interest in technical/innovation topics and the openness to new challenge
• the ability to work independently and proactively
• the passion for beeing a team player and working in an international team
• very good communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to collaborate in complex projects
